• A facebook account is required to use My Photo Downloader. In the near future you
will be able to use the application with other comunity sites also.
• The first step to being able to use My Photo Downloader is to log into facebook so
that you can access your tagged photos. Facebook requires that you do this for any
application. We do not store any passwords or other data you supply. See our privacy
page for more details.
• Once logged in you will be automatically redirected back to the home page where you
can click the 'choose photos to download' button which will load a list of all your
friends.
• To download your own tagged photos make sure 'Your Photos' is selected in the list
box and click 'tagged photos' to see your tagged photos or 'albums' to view ur photo
albums.
• To view and download a friends tagged photos select their name in the list box and
click the appropriate button as described above. By typing their name in the box
above the list of names it will eliminate other names in the list making it easier
to find the person you want. Make sure the correct name is still selected in the
list box before choosing to view the photos. The list will repopulate with all your
friends again as the text is deleted from the box above.
• You should now be able to view all the photos or albums at the bottom of the page in
the photos section.
• In order to download the photos to your computer you must have download credits
available. If you have no credits available then a button 'Get Download Credits' will
be visible. You can see exactly how many download credits you have available on the
right side on the link bar at the top of the page. Clicking this button will redirect
you to our payment page where you can purchase individual credits or multiple credits
at a discounted price. Select the option you would like to choose and click 'buy now'
which will take you to our Paypal check-out pages. (All payments are made through an
external company, Paypal) We keep no records of your financial details as described
on our privacy page.
• You can choose to pay using a credit card or by using your existing
Paypal account by following the instructions on the Paypal pages.
• Once the payment is complete you will be automatically redirected to My Photo Downloader.
Do not close the browser window otherwise the payment will not be processed correctly.
• Click the return to homepage link and reselect the photos to download.
• Once you have selected the photos to download and you have download
credits available click the 'prepare download' button. This gathers all the photos from
the various owners on facebook and transfers them to our temporary processing server so
we can create a single zip file for you to download. This may take a long time if you
have a lot of photos during busy periods. Be patient and do not navigate away from the page.
• Once the transfer is complete a link will appear enabling you to download the zip file
containing all of your photos to your computer. Click 'download photos' and choose the
destination drive on your machine to store the file.
• Once the download is complete a link will appear allowing you to return to the home page.
